Devoid of color, to me, the black-and-white nature photograph becomes vivid with feeling, absent of distraction. Alive with time and place, it breathes back to the viewer that particular moment when the image was taken, preserving its present beauty. Most important to me is that I share via my black-and-white photography the extraordinary beauty of Montana that sends goosebumps up my spine.

On my website, you will notice some photo titles are followed, for example, by 1/3 or 1/5. This is spoken as one of three or one of five.

The number following the slash signifies how many photos are in the edition. The number prior to the slash indicates which photo it is- 1/3, 2/3, or 3/3. Similarly, 1/5 indicates that there are five photos in the edition. When numbers on both sided of the slash are the same (3/3 or 5/5), the edition is complete and no more photos will be added to the series. Each photograph is signed, copyrighted, titled, and numbered.

I have been taught that it is standard for each fine art photograph in a black-and-white edition to increase in value until the series is sold out.

This year I offer an additional choice of size. All images printed in editions of five are 3 x 2 or 2 x 3 feet. All photographs printed in editions of three are 12 x 8 or 8 x 12 inches.
